How did God create light before the Sun? (Genesis 1 - Contradiction Clarified)

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1

Critics often crib as to how God can create light before he created the Sun. But that can be answered in many ways including looking at genesis just as a watered down version of creation account given to help man understand that God is creator of everything including light and that these are not things to be worshiped, feared or served. Moreover Genesis 1 is in poetic form and with repetitions and that genre of literature should not be interpreted literally but allegorically. This is the non-literal interpretation of Genesis 1. This is most often the case with Theistic Evolutionists.

Then there is the Old Earth creationist many of whom believe in the big bang theory. According to this theory. All the matter, space was condensed in an infinitesimal dot and it exploded to form the universe as we have it today. The after-shocks of this explosion persist today in the form of Cosmic microwave background radiation. But when happened in the initial seconds of Big Bang, this microwave we detect today was in the form of light. So there was light even before the Sun or other stars were created.  So even on the literal Old earth creationist view where the creation days are considered as eons of time, the creation of light precedes the Sun and the Stars and the Bible stands right and it's critics wrong.
